Position Title - Leader, Sales Support Team
General Description (Summary description of the primary duties and objectives of the position)
- Leading the provision of design, pricing and specification services to support both internal and external customers for your respective market & support all regions, including sales offices, dealers, A&D and end customers.
- Responsible for developing design solutions based on the global product portfolio, from typical development, test fitting floor layouts through to the creation of post installation drawings.
- Liaise with customers to understand the customer needs and to verify designs.
Task Profile (Individual duties, assignments and responsibilities required of the position)
A. Support response for request for services
1. Collaborate with Sales Leaders & other team members to complete requests as required ( From research to response)
2. Collaborate with external teams to complete requests as required
3. Communicate with internal teams & customers to define request/project requirements
4. Develop solutions based on product offerings based on process for the respective market
5. Support the definition of special products
6. Create solution drawings
7. Read & interpret typical drawings
8. Floor plan take-offs based on typical drawings
9. Apply pricing based on process for the respective market
10. Create complete project quotations
11. Compile RFP & RFI responses with supporting documentation
12. Calculate Freight, Delivery & Installation charges, together with SFT, Forwarder & customers
13. Review own/team member's quotes & drawings QAS
14. Submit and review solution drawings & quotation with customers
15. Create solution specification list
16. Provide technical drawings to the visualization team
17. Advise the visualization team on product solution and application
B. Administrative Support
1. Update daily metrics and project management system (AGIO/Daily Bucket/Google Docs)
2. Maintain and update project folders
3. Develop technical standards ( templates, reference materials )
4. Collect and maintain RFP supporting documentation
5. Lead monthly team meetings
C. Customer Experience Support
1. Participate with customer visits as and when required
2. Engage customers to explain department processes and services
D. Development / Network
1. Maintain and update on product knowledge ( participate with product training )
2. Follow the Learning and Development curriculum and update progress
3. Mentor new hires through the Buddy System
Requirements Profile (Competencies, skills, abilities, experience, education necessary.)
A. Technical Skills
1. AutoCAD / draught work using specification tools including PCON, FSL & Sketch up
2. Understanding the technical capabilities of products including stability guidelines, structural and material properties.
3. Understanding of power and data infrastructure and distribution
4. Understanding of BIFMA, IAQ, ISO, LEED standards related to products and projects
5. Quotation tools; Hedberg, Excel
6. Additional quotation tools; Easy Coms, CAP Worksheet, Smart Tools
B. Design Skills
1. Understanding of regional/global interior design & spatial planning rules and guidelines
2. Consider product & workspace ergonomics while creating solutions
3. Apply global product and application knowledge to develop design solutions to meet or exceed customer expectation
4. Incorporating research and latest insights into proposal of solutions
