Business Analyst - LMS

Position Summary: As a Business Analyst specializing in Loan Management Systems (LMS), you will be responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and providing recommendations to optimize lending operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders, to gather requirements, define project scopes, and ensure the successful implementation of LMS solutions. Your role will involve conducting thorough research, documenting business requirements, and facilitating communication between various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, including business users, product managers, and developers, to elicit and document business requirements related to LMS processes and systems. Use various techniques such as interviews, workshops, and document analysis to understand user needs and pain points.
2. Process Analysis: Analyze existing LMS processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Work closely with stakeholders to identify process gaps and propose solutions for enhancing operational efficiency.
3. Documentation: Create comprehensive and detailed documentation of business requirements, use cases, process flows, and functional specifications. Ensure documentation is clear, concise, and accurately represents the desired LMS functionalities.
4. Solution Design: Collaborate with development teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications and technical design documents. Provide input on system architecture, user interface design, and data models to ensure alignment with business needs.
5. Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate effective communication between business users, development teams, and other stakeholders. Ensure that all parties have a clear understanding of project requirements, objectives, and timelines.
6. Testing and Quality Assurance: Collaborate with testing teams to define test plans, scenarios, and acceptance criteria. Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing, and defect resolution to ensure the final product meets business requirements.
7. Change Management: Support change management activities by assisting in training sessions, user documentation, and communication plans. Help stakeholders understand and adapt to new LMS processes or systems.
8. Industry Knowledge: Stay updated with the latest trends and regulations in the lending domain. Understand industry-specific challenges, market dynamics, and compliance requirements to provide valuable insights and recommendations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, computer science, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMP) is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the lending or financial services industry. Experience with platforms such as EPIK (ezee), Indus (Ebix Cash), or Sumeru Encollect is preferred.
• Strong understanding of lending processes, loan origination, underwriting, credit risk assessment, and collections.
• Proficiency in business analysis techniques, such as requirements elicitation, process modeling, and use case development.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and experience in translating business requirements into technical specifications.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of lending software systems, such as loan origination platforms, credit scoring models, or mortgage servicing applications, is a plus.
