The Vice President of Inside Sales will lead, develop, and manage a high-performing inside sales team to achieve ambitious revenue targets. This strategic leader will be responsible for crafting and executing scalable sales strategies, driving customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth, and fostering a culture of excellence and accountability within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and implement the overall inside sales strategy to align with the company's business objectives.
- Set ambitious, achievable sales targets and KPIs, ensuring continuous tracking and improvement.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and field sales teams to create effective lead generation and sales enablement strategies.
Team Management & Development:
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing inside sales team.
- Establish a results-oriented culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and skills training for team members.
Revenue Growth:
- Drive consistent revenue growth through effective lead conversion and pipeline management.
- Oversee forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company goals.
- Identify opportunities to upsell, cross-sell, and retain customers.
Customer Insights & Market Trends:
- Analyze customer data and feedback to identify patterns and opportunities for product or service improvements.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
Operational Excellence:
- Optimize sales processes, tools, and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical practices, and legal requirements.
- Leverage CRM systems and analytics to monitor team performance and refine sales strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in inside sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics platforms.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
