Assistant Manager- Design and Engineering

A Solar Design Engineer plays a crucial role in the development and implementation of solar energy

systems. This position involves a combination of technical expertise, project management, and design skills

to create efficient solar solutions for various applications.

KEY SKILLS:

Site Surveys and Analysis

• Conduct site surveys to assess capacity and shadow analysis.
• Analyze site conditions for optimal solar system design.

Design and Modeling

• Prepare module layout and single-line diagram (SLD).
• Prepare Cable routing and cable trench layout
• Prepare equipment layout, cable routing and their section drawings.
• Prepare Control Room drawing (equipment and cable routing/trench) section drawings.
• Prepare Cable schedule.
• Create 3D project models and structure fabrication drawings using AutoCAD and other

design software.

• Perform AC and DC cable sizing, earthing calculations, and string configurations.

Documentation and Reporting

• Support to Team for Preparing Bill of Material- Identify variable line items, Variable

ancillary items.

Quality Assurance

• Provide neat and clean drawing, compliance of standards for drafting.
• Each drawing will have a standard name, nomenclature, layer, symbol to meet

International and National norms.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering.
• Certification on AutoCAD/CAD Pro/STADD-PRO

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• 3-8 years in Solar Commercial Rooftop Projects

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Google Sketchup, and PV Syst.
• Basic Knowledge in Solar Design Calculations will be preferred

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and people management abilities.
• Familiarity with renewable energy regulations and standards.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• The role will involve both office work and field visits to project sites.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and

installation crews.
