Sales Training Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Training Program Development:
  
• Design and develop comprehensive training programs tailored to the sales teams needs, including product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer relationship management.
  
• Create engaging training materials, such as presentations, manuals, and case studies.
  
• Delivery of Training:
  
• Conduct training sessions (classroom, virtual, or on-the-job) for new hires and existing sales team members.
  
• Provide coaching and mentoring to improve individual and team performance.
  
• Performance Monitoring:
  
• Assess the effectiveness of training programs by monitoring sales performance and gathering feedback.
  
• Identify skill gaps and recommend targeted training interventions.
  
• Product and Market Knowledge:
  
• Stay up to date with the companys products, services, and market trends to ensure accurate and relevant training content.
  
• Educate the sales team about competitive strategies and market positioning.
  
• Collaboration:
  
• Work closely with sales managers to understand team challenges and align training goals with business objectives.
  
• Partner with other departments (e.g., marketing, product) to ensure consistent messaging and support for the sales team.
  
• Reporting:
  
• Track and report on the progress of training programs and their impact on sales metrics.
  
• Provide regular updates and recommendations to leadership on training outcomes.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Business, Sales, or a related field.
  
• 3-5 years of experience in sales or sales training, preferably in [specific industry].
  
• Proven success in developing and delivering impactful training programs.
  
• Strong understanding of sales processes, strategies, and tools.
  
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals.
  
• Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and training tools.
  
• Analytical mindset with the ability to measure and evaluate training effectiveness.
