Job Summary:
The Hardware Testing Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing tests to evaluate the performance, reliability, and compatibility of hardware components. This role involves ensuring that hardware products meet specifications and are free from defects before they are released to the market.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Validation and Verification: Perform hardware validation and verification in lab or field environments to ensure products meet specifications and are reliable.
Test Strategy Development: Create test strategies, test cases, and plans to verify new products and improve existing ones.
Technical Support: Provide technical assistance for various testing activities and collaborate with design engineers to understand product specifications.
Test Execution: Conduct functional, performance, stress, and compatibility testing to evaluate hardware components.
Issue Resolution: Analyze and resolve hardware test issues, and provide feedback to the development team for product improvement.
Reporting: Prepare and submit reports on the progress and status of testing procedures.
Collaboration: Work with manufacturing teams to ensure successful design transfer to production and with software test engineers for proper hardware-software integration.
Technical Requirements:
Educational Background: Typically requires a degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 3-4 years of hands-on experience in embedded hardware testing.
Skills: Excellent hardware troubleshooting skills, knowledge of analog and digital electronic circuits, and experience with measuring instruments.
Software Skills: Familiarity with MS Office and possibly programming languages
