Indirect Taxation - Deputy General Manager (Corporate Office)

Purpose of the role

To provide advanced financial support to our business to function efficiently and effectively, by managing all aspects of indirect taxation for the company ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, optimizing tax positions, and supporting the company's financial strategies.

Key Deliverables

• Compliance & Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST and other indirect tax returns while maintaining compliance with local and international regulations.
• Tax Planning & Advisory: Provide strategic tax planning advice to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
• Audit & Assessment Management: Handle tax audits, assessments, and inquiries from tax authorities, including representation before tax officials.
• Process Improvement: Develop and implement efficient tax processes, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance standards.
• Risk Management: Identify potential tax risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Liaison & Stakeholder Management: Work closely with internal finance teams, auditors, and external tax consultants for smooth tax operations.
• Legislative Updates: Stay updated with changes in indirect tax laws and regulations, ensuring timely implementation of necessary changes.
• Training & Development: Educate and train internal plant teams on indirect tax matters to enhance compliance and awareness.

Role Requirement -

• Experience on SAP is must.
• Expert Knowledge on indirect taxes and working knowledge on direct tax.
