Backend Developer - Node.js (2-5 yrs)

Job brief :

As a Node.js Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining server-side logic using Node.js and integrating it with PostgreSQL databases. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy secure, reliable, and efficient APIs and services for our financial products. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of back-end development, experience working with relational databases, and a passion for FinTech.

Job Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain server-side logic using Node.js and PostgreSQL.

- Design and implement RESTful APIs for financial applications.

- Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps, and QA teams to integrate server-side logic.

- Optimize performance of database queries and ensure scalability.

- Ensure security best practices in all development processes, including data protection and authentication mechanisms.

- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize existing code for performance and reliability.

- Write clean, modular, and well-documented code adhering to coding standards.

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

- Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, including planning, coding,

testing, and deployment.

Required Qualifications :

- 2+ years of experience in Node.js development.

- Strong experience with Relational Database, including query optimization and schema design.

- Experience with RESTful API development and integration.

- Understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and asynchronous programming.

- Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.

- Basic knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

- Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications is a plus.

- Experience working in an Agile environment.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
