Neysa.ai - Backend Developer - Node.js Framework (4-8 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a Senior Node.js Backend Developer with expertise in Nest.js, Microservices, and gRPC to join our growing team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing backend systems that power our applications. Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, modular, and high-performance backend services using Nest.js.

- Architect and implement microservices-based solutions with a focus on gRPC and RESTful APIs.

- Work with PostgreSQL to design efficient data models and optimize queries.

- Implement server-side caching, background jobs, and event-driven architectures.

- Write unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability.

- Collaborate with frontend developers and DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployments.

- Ensure high code quality, maintainability, and best practices in software development.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for performance and scalability.

- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in backend development.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 4-7 years of experience in backend development using Node.js.

- Strong hands-on experience with Nest.js framework and its core concepts.

- Hands-on experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or event-driven architectures.

- Deep understanding of TypeScript, including interfaces, decorators, and typings.

- Experience building and managing microservices architectures.

- Expertise in gRPC, REST APIs, and API versioning best practices.

- Proficiency in PostgreSQL, including query optimization and database design.

- Knowledge of ORM tools such as TypeORM or Prisma.

- Familiarity with server-side caching mechanisms (Redis, Memcached).

- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines.

- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have :

- Experience with GraphQL and Apollo Server.

- Exposure to cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

- Prior experience in security best practices for backend development.

- Experience leading teams and mentoring junior developers.
