Database Administrator - SQL Server (5-7 yrs)

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and maintain optimized database systems for high performance and data integrity. Monitor and tune databases to ensure availability, troubleshoot issues.

- Manage data security, encryption, backups, and disaster recovery to ensure compliance and business continuity.

- Perform updates, migrations, transformations, and scripting tasks. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including performance, connectivity, and data inconsistencies.

- Collaborate with teams to develop effective database strategies and schemas. Analyze database growth and recommend scaling solutions.

- Maintain documentation, including data dictionaries and architecture diagrams.

- Stay updated on emerging technologies and adhere to best practices. Creation, updation & maintenance of data-lake & data-warehouse.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. MCA/M.Tech is a plus.

Must-Have Skills :

- 5+ years of solid experience as DBA in relational & non-relational database technologies.

- Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards.

- Proven working experience in database monitoring, backup, and recovery.

- Understanding of relational and dimensional data modelling.

Good-To-Have Skills :

- Knowledge of cloud database AWS.

- Familiarity with clustering, replication, and high-availability solutions.

- Certification in database administration (e.g., Oracle Certified DBA, Microsoft SQL Server Certification).

- Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
