- The Senior Manager - Sales will be responsible for leading the sales function, driving business development initiatives, achieving revenue targets, and managing the sales team.
- This role requires a strategic thinker with deep industry knowledge who can identify new market opportunities, foster strong client relationships, and promote the company's logistics services effectively to expand the customer base in both Air and Sea freight forwarding verticals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement comprehensive sales strategies to increase market share, revenue, and customer retention.
- Establish clear sales objectives and develop action plans to meet and exceed targets.
- Analyze sales data to refine strategies and improve overall performance.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the logistics and supply chain industry, focusing on Air & Sea freight forwarding.
- Develop and execute plans to enter new markets and expand service offerings.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to generate leads and enhance brand presence.
- Prepare compelling sales proposals tailored to client needs.
- Lead contract negotiations to secure profitable deals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and client expectations during the negotiation process.
- Conduct regular market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging customer demands.
- Utilize market insights to inform sales strategies and identify areas for growth.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
- Address client concerns promptly and effectively to maintain trust and retention.
- Implement client feedback into service improvements.
- Work closely with operations, marketing, finance, and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop targeted campaigns and promotional materials.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, setting clear goals and KPIs.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, providing coaching and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a high-performance culture within the team.
- Generate regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and market trends.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Monitor and manage sales budgets and resource allocation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 12-14 years of progressive experience in Freight Forwarding Sales, with a strong focus on Air & Sea logistics.
- Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- In-depth understanding of logistics services, market dynamics, and client requirements.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events
