Product Manager, Overseas Education and Remittances

Role & responsibilities

• Product Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and execute a comprehensive product

strategy for overseas education payments and remittances. Align product goals

with business objectives and market trends.

• Market Research & Insights: Conduct research on the overseas education

ecosystem, student remittance behaviors, competitive landscape, and regulatory

requirements. Leverage insights to build differentiated products.

• Product Development & Innovation: Lead end-to-end product lifecycle

management, from ideation to launch factoring all players in the ecosystem

students, partners, universities, education consultants etc. Develop features to

enhance speed, security, and cost-effectiveness of student remittances.

• Partnerships & Ecosystem Development: Collaborate with banks, fintechs,

overseas universities, education consultants, and payment partners to enhance

Unimonis product offerings.

• Regulatory & Compliance Management: Ensure all remittance solutions

adhere to RBI, FEMA, AML, and other regulatory guidelines. Work closely with

legal and compliance teams.

• Technology & Digital Experience: Work with engineering teams to build

seamless, digital-first remittance solutions with frictionless onboarding,

automation, and AI-driven transaction monitoring.

• Customer Experience & Growth: Improve student and parent remittance

journeys through personalized experiences, competitive pricing, and superior

service levels.

• Revenue & P&L Ownership: Drive customer acquisition, retention, and

transaction volumes to achieve revenue targets. Optimize pricing, fees, and cost

structures.

• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with marketing, sales, compliance,

operations, and technology teams to ensure smooth execution of product

initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

• 7-8+ years of experience in product management within remittances, fintech,

payments, or banking.

• Strong knowledge of cross-border payments, SWIFT, UPI, LRS and forex

regulations.

• Experience in education remittances, student financing, or international

payments is a plus.

• A level of network with international universities that cater to Indian students

• Familiarity with digital product development, APIs, and fintech innovations.

• Understanding of compliance frameworks (AML, KYC, FEMA, RBI

guidelines).

• Proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders including banks, partners,

and regulators.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or a related field.
