Job Title: Associate Director - Finance
Location: Bangalore
Reports To: CFO/CEO
Job Summary:
The AD Finance will be responsible for guiding, motivating, and supervising a team to ensure alignment with organizational goals while fostering a collaborative work environment. This role requires strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, and effective cross-functional collaboration to drive business performance and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives and cultivating a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Partner closely with Finance and Business Leaders to articulate and implement strategic decisions while managing relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Engage and coordinate with Big-4 accounting firms, external consultants, and advisors to meet business requirements and optimize financial strategies.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory, statutory, and compliance requirements, including establishing internal controls and ensuring timely completion of audits and reports.
- Design and recommend optimizations in accounting and financial strategies across various business units.
- Identify growth opportunities and develop long-term strategic initiatives.
- Prepare detailed and timely reports on financial performance, including quarterly and annual reports.
- Develop standardized monthly reporting decks for the Board and Management.
- Provide ad-hoc business performance reporting to support decision-making.
- Maintain constant awareness of the company's financial position and proactively identify and mitigate potential risks.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CA, CPA, CFA, or MBA (Finance) is preferred.
- Proven experience in financial strategy, business planning, and team leadership.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and audit processes.
- Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external consultants.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or strategy-related roles.
- Experience working with Big-4 firms or external financial advisors.
- Industry experience in Finance/ Wealth Tech is preferred
