Medical Officer

Purpose:

Achieve benchmark standards in health & hygiene

1. Managing the factory OHC operations

2. Attending to & aiding employees in emergencies

3. Providing fitness certificates to employees

4. Creating awareness among employees on health and hygiene.

5. Conducting periodic audits and implementing continuous improvement projects

Role & responsibilities:

1.1 Managing and maintaining the factory OHC operations, and handling OPD patients

2.1 Handling emergency, accident medical services & injuries on duty

2.2 Liasioning with different hospitals and maintaining relations to refer employees for treatment

2.3 Visiting hospitals if patients are admitted, validating hospitalization and medical insurance claims, and monitoring serious cases admitted in hospital.

3.1 Completing periodic / annual health check-up of employees,

3.2 Conducting statutory health check-up related to employees working on dangerous operation areas like high noise, foundry, high temperature, chemical operations

3.3 Conducting pre-employment medical examination of candidates before joining organization, and certifying candidate fitness for employment

3.4 Maintaining health records of employees and substantiate employees' fitness whenever required

4.1 Conducting training program for employees related to Health / Hygiene topics, awareness programs, first aid programs and counselling sessions

4.2 Conducting awareness campaigns on aids awareness day, no tobacco day, world diabetes day, etc..

5.1 Visiting and auditing manufacturing shops for proactive initiatives related to Health and Hygiene.

5.2 Implementing new initiatives to achieve compliance of legal requirements as per factories act

5.3 Generating and distributing necessary MIS reports in accurate and timely manner, continuously updating the current MIS to improve reporting efficiency and consistency

Preferred candidate profile

MBBS and should possess AFIH certification
