Senior Back-End Engineer

• Collaborate with a highly collaborative, global team of engineers and design large-scale, fault-tolerant cloud-based services and infrastructure
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle to develop new features and debug current application issues
• Review and provide comments/inform server-side software design across the organization
• Skillfully navigate complex debugging, incident response, and challenging engineering tasks
• Create frameworks to boost team productivity
• Foresee changes in requirements and promptly modify systems and methods
• Deliver on many IT projects simultaneously and on time with excellent results
• Complete assigned objectives with a high level of independence and initiative
• Mentor and offer technical leadership to engineers in lower IC levels across the team, assisting them in meeting their objectives

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor s/Master s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
• 2+ years of experience working with Go and other related technologies
• Prolific knowledge of Git/Github, MySQL/SQL, MongoDB, Kafka, and other relational databases and database designs
• Extensive experience with Unix/Linux, JIRA/Confluence, and Docker/Kubernetes
• Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile development
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
• Experience with streaming video technologies like HLS, DASH, and WebRTC
• Prior experience with streaming audio/video codecs like RTMP/RTSP/VP8/VP9/AV1
• Experience with deployment of distributed containerized applications like Kubernetes, Docker-compose, Containerd, etc. is nice to have
• Prior video streaming or Big-data/BigQuery experience is desirable
