Back-End Engineer

• Work with the team to design and develop web applications
• Write and maintain reliable and scalable Ruby code
• Integrate data storage solutions in line with the company s objectives
• Identify and mitigate platform bottlenecks to increase efficiency
• Create back-end components for the website

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor s/Master s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• A minimum of 1.5-2+ years of experience as a Ruby developer
• Prolific experience with SQL and ActiveRecord, with practical use-cases for SQL
• Demonstrable experience in test-driven development
• Solid understanding of performance optimization on server and database layers
• Prolific understanding of automated testing and debugging
• Comfortable with the UNIX/Linux command line
• Familiarity with Docker and Sidekiq
• Knowledge of Git
• Experience with GraphQL and PostgreSQL is a plus
• Experience with Heroku is preferred
• Nice to have experience implementing APIs
• Fluent in verbal and written English
