JOB DESCRIPTION:

Accounts Receivables - Sr. Team Lead

The accounts receivable (AR) department is crucial to any company's financial health. Simply put, it ensures the business gets paid for its products or services. Without a well-functioning accounts receivable team, even the best sales can turn into missed opportunities.

AR professionals are tasked with managing invoices, tracking payments, and collecting outstanding debts while maintaining positive relationships with customers. Their efforts help maintain cash flow, which is the lifeblood of any organization

Accounts receivable roles and responsibilities include:

• Maintaining customer accounts Managing customer accounts, including maintaining customer files and records
• Generating invoices Working with a billing system to generate invoices and account statements
• Collecting payments Processing and monitoring incoming payments, and posting receipts in a timely manner
• Reconciling accounts Comparing financial records, like general ledger accounts and bank statements, to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Preparing reports Producing monthly financial and management reports, including aged receivables reports
• Resolving issues Investigating and resolving any irregularities or enquiries, including discrepancies between customer payments and invoices
• Applying credit practices Applying fair credit practices
• Supporting month-end closing Assisting with month-end closing activities such as preparing journal entries
• Maintaining customer relationships Acting as a point of contact for customers regarding payment-related queries, and providing exceptional customer service
