Job Title: Design Engineer
Division: Weir Minerals
Location: Brigade Opus, Bangalore
Hybrid
Purpose of Role: Support WM Canada business in order engineering projects related to Multiflo Multistage Pumps and brownfield retrofit projects. Also to execute 3D modelling and drafting of piping components, fabricated items like chutes, sump, structural members etc.
The Position requires the individual to have expertise in all work benches of UGNX and Teamcenter.
Good Knowledge on casting, machining, GDT, welding fabrication will be key for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
Execute projects and validate the design criteria as per defined quality, OTD Schedule.
Should be well conversant with all modules of UGNX and Teamcenter.
Welding and Fabrication process related knowledge will be key criteria for the position.
Knowledge on fabricated components, rubber lining, rotating equipment s will be added advantage.
Knowledge on structural connections, welding types will be key for this position.
Good understanding of drawing standards and GDT per ANSI Y14.5.
Review drawings and designs to ascertain compliance with customer specifications and to ensure deliverables are workable and manufacturable.
Ability to work independently without supervision on complex orders.
Ability to communicate/report/document technical information with project team and customer.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
Education
B.E. in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 4-6 years experience in the area of mechanical engineering and system design.
