Network Architect

Job Title: Network Architect Job Summary: The Network Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the robust and secure network Infrastructure of an organization. The role requires in-depth knowledge of networking technologies, protocols, security standards. The Network Architect will work closely with IT teams, management, and external vendors to ensure that the network infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and optimized for performance. Key Responsibilities: 1. Network Design and Architecture: a. Design and develop scalable, secure, and reliable network architectures that align with business objectives. b. Create detailed network diagrams, technical specifications, and design documentation. c. Evaluate and recommend networking solutions, technologies, and products to meet organizational needs. d. Design and implement solutions for VPN and cloud networking environments. 2. Implementation and Configuration: a. Lead the deployment and configuration of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless access points. b. Ensure proper integration of networking solutions with existing IT systems and services. c. Oversee the implementation of network upgrades and migrations with minimal disruption to business operations. d. Coordinate with vendors and service providers to implement networking solutions and troubleshoot issues. 3. Network Security: a. Design and implement network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs. b. Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices, including encryption, access control, and monitoring. c. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks. d. Stay updated on emerging security threats and implement proactive measures to protect the network. 4. Documentation and Reporting: a. Maintain comprehensive documentation of network designs, configurations, and changes. b. Stay informed about the latest networking technologies, trends, and best practices. c. Document network troubleshooting procedures, disaster recovery plans and network-related information. d. Recommend and implement innovative networking solutions that improve performance, security, and scalability. Skills and Qualifications: 1. Education: a. Bachelor?s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master?s degree is preferred. 2. Experience: a. Minimum 12+ years of experience in network design, implementation, and management. b. Proven experience in designing complex network infrastructures, including the network security technologies and practices. c. Have good understanding on networking hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. 3. Technical Skills: a. Strong knowledge of networking protocols and standards (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS). b. Proficiency in network security principles, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and encryption. c. Familiarity with cloud networking solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure) and network management and monitoring tools. d. Understanding of virtualization and software-defined networking (SDN). 4. Certifications: a. AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty
