Job Description

About the Department:


The corporate finance department in the company handles all the financial and investment decisions. It primarily focuses on maximizing shareholder value through long-term and short-term financial planning and the implementation of various strategies. It aims to maximize the value of a business through the planning and execution of resources.


Role & Responsibilities

The Associate is expected to manage and supervise all the finance and accounts functions and ensure proper maintenance of accounting systems of the Company. The individual is expected to manage payroll processing functions like computation of salaries, taxation, attendance, leave management, and fixed & variable entitlements; adhered to statutory compliances as per the companys requirements from time to time. The individual should be able to adapt to a continually evolving environment while managing the team.


Key Role Deliverables:

  • Monthly payroll processing on time
  • Incorporating new joiners in the payroll database with all the details; preparing salary break-up for the new joiners
  • Preparing Monthly, Quarterly, half yearly, and annually re-conciliation reports, statutory, JV reports Preparing Bank transfer file as per bank prescribed format and Providing file to the Treasury Team for timely release of salary to the employees
  • Liaising for employee queries and responding to a variety of employee questions in a timely manner, with an emphasis on educating employees on salary and tax calculation; verifying & validating payroll
  • Integrating TDS in salary statements and verifying the same; monitoring income tax exemption after approving saving declaration; verifying & validating investment proofs
  • Taking care of TDS (24Q) filling, TRACES default correction/adjustment, and Issuing Form 16 to employees, employee benefits such as Gratuity, Superannuation, and Variable Payment
  • Calculating PF, ESIC, PT, Leave encashment, Gratuity, Income Tax. Etc.
  • UAN creation, IP address creation, PF, PT, and ESI challan preparation
  • Providing data during statutory/internal/IFC audits
  • Preparing and maintaining regular MIS reports
  • Coordinating with the consultants wherever required
  • Ensuring confidentiality of Payroll data and proprietary information

Prerequisites:

  • Extremely strong fundamentals in accounting
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills
  • Good written & oral communication skills
  • Relationship Management with cross functions
  • Proactive and entrepreneurial traits; and a willingness to grow and learn on daily basis
  • Eye for detail

Experience

2 to 5 years of relevant work experience

Any Graduate

The compensation structure will be as per industry standard
