Plant Financial Controller
Position Summary:
In this position you will, together with the local finance team in Chennai, support the business efficiency and business development to secure profitable growth. You, together with the finance team, take action to improve results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the work to ensure the reporting structure, how the transaction is followed up and make sure that the processes around this are efficient
- Ensuring accurate accounting and comply with local GAAP and keeping the company's accounting policy up to date, control of documents in terms of form and accounting maintenance of accounting books.
- Keeping records of business events in accordance with the Accounting Act and the approved company chart of accounts.
- Supporting in providing accurate financial reporting to Headquarter in timely manner and continuously working proactively to analyze the business in an efficient way with a focus on business and profitability.
- Managing records of VAT purchases and sales as well as different kinds of assets, periodically determining or verifying by inventory the actual state of assets and liabilities. As well as valuation of assets and liabilities and determination of financial result.
- Determining the amount of advance payments for income tax and VAT settlements and completing monthly declarations for these taxes on behalf of the taxpayer and their timely submission to the Tax Office.
- Work closely together with local management and BU finance manager in both long-term and operations questions.
- Managing and driving cash flow and improvement of Net Working Capital and Coordinate to work closely with other countries/subsidiaries of company/group.
- You will play an important part in our ongoing ERP implementation. Develop structure and processes for follow-up of results and be engaged in the forecasting and budgeting process is other examples of responsibilities.
- Together with your colleagues, you are given the opportunity to drive the company forward, managing change and continuous improvement.
- Having the financial statements audited and announced in cases provided for by the Accounting Law.
- Supporting the budget process for the business site including regular follow-ups
- Responsible for on-time filing of all statutory requirements for the site, such as collecting and storing accounting evidence and other documentation as stipulated by the Accounting Law.
- Preparing mandatory financial reports to the Tax Office, CSO, Commercial Court, National Bank and others
