General Manager - Finance and Accounts

Role Name :- Assistant/Deputy/General Manager Finance and Accounts

Candidates preferred only from Frieght Forwarding/Logistics Industry

JOB PURPOSE

To manage the Companies Finances systematically and efficiently so as to ensure best returns, cost control, ready financial information and compliance of Statutes and organizational requirements, safeguarding the companies interests and ensuring maximization of returns. The position will also be responsible for managing Treasury function of the company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Finalise the pan country Revenue and Expense Budgeting.
• Review of monthly P & L vis a vis budget monitoring performance and costs against budgets on a regular basis to ensure that variances are kept to the minimum.
• Ensure adequate cash flow for the Organization at all times and plan for Income generation accordingly.
• Create, coordinate, and evaluate the financial planning and business planning for providing insights to Chief Executive Officer for business strategy decisions
• Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports.
• Keeping control on Treasury management to ensure timely payments to vendors and proper credit control management
• Ensure to maintain appropriate Internal controls to process all types of payment like vendors, admin and salaries through properly defined parameters.
• Handling foreign remittances with required compliances with best foreign exchange rates
• Regular reconciliation of Accounts so that there are no unaccounted or loose items.
• Analyse cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide Executive Team. Analyse financial statements to pinpoint potential weak areas.
• Advice Investment options.
• Statutory compliance with Tax and other authorities.
• Thorough knowledge of system integration for maximum automation of processes to minimise manual interventions.

Apart from the duties and responsibilities listed above, any other additional duties as advised by the management from time to time.

Educational Qualification(s): Qualified Charted Accountant

Experience: Around 13+ years of experience with more than 5 years of managerial exposure.

Exposure to shipping and Logistics industry is an advantage.
