General Manager - F&A

The Head Plant Finance & Accounts is responsible for overseeing the financial health, compliance, and operational efficiency of the plant's financial functions. This role involves financial planning, cost control, budgeting, reporting, and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations while supporting strategic decision-making to improve the plant’s profitability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management & Reporting

• Oversee the financial operations of the plant, ensuring accuracy and compliance with corporate policies.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts to support management in decision-making.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Manage working capital, cash flow, and fund utilization efficiently.

2. Budgeting & Cost Control

• Develop, monitor, and control the plant’s annual budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial goals.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies to optimize plant operations.
• Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.

3. Compliance & Internal Controls

• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, GST, statutory requirements, and corporate financial policies.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls to prevent fraud and financial risks.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, ensuring smooth audit processes.

4. Strategic Financial Planning

• Support the plant leadership team in financial decision-making and investment planning.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for business growth.
• Collaborate with corporate finance to align plant financial performance with overall business goals.

5. Inventory & Procurement Finance Management

• Monitor inventory valuation, stock reconciliations, and cost accounting.
• Work closely with procurement and production teams to optimize cost structures.

6. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Lead and mentor the plant finance and accounts team, ensuring skill development and performance enhancement.
• Act as the key financial liaison between plant management, corporate finance, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.
• Experience: 12+ years of experience in plant finance, manufacturing finance, or industrial accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Industry Preference: Manufacturing, FMCG, Automotive, Engineering, or similar industries.

Key Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of financial management, cost accounting, and taxation.
• Expertise in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and financial reporting tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
