JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Responsible for managing financial reporting, planning, compliance and statutory needs. Act as a financial controller working closely with the CFO and CEO to provide financial control for the company. This role is critical for driving financial efficiency and supporting the overall strategic goals.
1. Cost Management
- Monitor and control operational costs across departments, services and products.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities in the product development, sales and marketing activities.
2. Cash Flow and Treasury Management
- Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds for operational needs.
- Manage banking relationships and negotiate financing terms.
3. Financial Reporting
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors for statutory audits.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Analyse financial performance and provide actionable insights to optimise profitability.
- Monitor key financial KPIs like controllable margins, gross margin, operating margin, EBITDA and working capital.
4. Risk Management
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Assess financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
5. Tax Compliance
- Ensure compliance with corporate tax, GST, and other regulatory filings.
- Optimise tax strategies to enhance profitability.
6. Financial Business Partnering
- Partner with business leaders to drive business strategies and expansion plans.
- Provide financial insights for pricing strategies, market expansion, and product launches.
7. Loan raising from banks / Manage Banking operations
- Develop and execute strategies to raise funds / bank loans / bank guarantees for the organization's expansion, capital projects, and operational needs.
- Establish and maintain relationships with banks
- Oversee all banking activities, including Account Management, Transactions, and Reconciliations
- Ensure Compliance with Banking Regulations / covenants, security creation, implement efficient banking processes, and optimize the use of financial instruments
- Manage forex / treasury function (derivative contract booking and settlement)
EXPERTISE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in financial software / ERP - SAP mandatory.
- Experience in financial automation projects would be an added advantage
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Attention to detail and high integrity. Should bring in a service mindset, quality conscious and stakeholder management.
