Thermal Project - Civil Engineer

Description of Job:

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team for the construction of new projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in civil and structural engineering, coupled with a strong commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage civil and structural engineering works, including site inspections for plant buildings, equipment foundations, ash dykes (ponds with earthen bunds), storage tanks, railway tracks, roads, drains, office buildings, and all balance of plant structures necessary for greenfield projects.
• Ensure proper layout marking on-site, monitor project schedules, and oversee quality and safety throughout execution in line with prevailing standards.
• Oversee a diverse range of work types, including switchyards, heavy equipment foundations, control rooms, cable trenches, bitumen/RCC roads, storage tanks, chimneys/silos, offices, utility buildings, compound walls, and interior works (furniture, false ceilings, plumbing), as well as landscaping and fencing.
• Prepare detailed construction plans, including specifications and estimates for civil and structural works, and develop tender documents for material suppliers. Conduct rate analyses and technical evaluations of vendor offers.
• Perform quality checks during execution, coordinate work permits, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Prepare and monitor project schedules and verify bills for certification.
• Maintain adherence to all safety and regulatory standards.
• Prepare and submit periodic progress reports, maintaining comprehensive documentation of all activities.
• Interface effectively with government authorities, consultants, architects, contractors, and vendors as required.
