Thermal Project Engineer - Boiler & its auxiliaries

Preference- Thermal power plant projects (Capacity>250MW)

Job profile: Project erection, testing and commissioning of steam boiler & its auxiliaries i.e boiler pressure parts, boiler structure (as per IBR/other applicable standard guidelines), Coal compartment assembly, Air & flue gas ducting, ignition systems, Boiler fans, Milling system & Air preheaters.

• At least one thermal power plant project (>250 MW) should have completed with engineering to commissioning activities.
• Candidate should have project execution experience of complete boiler erection i.e boiler main structure, boiler pressure parts, desuperheaters, Soot blowers, ignition system, coal compartment assembly, boiler Air & flue gas duct, integral piping, Boiler mountings, Boiler fans, coal pulverisers & feeders & rotary air preheaters.
• Good understanding of engineering drawing and documents like P&ID, GA drawings, CSD drawings, Data sheets, FQP, QAP, WPS, Lifting plans, MSRA/JSA/HIRA, BOQ/BBU, Isometric drawings, erection manuals, DBR, time schedules, structural fabrication drawings, work safety plans.
• Knowledge of IBR documentation/rules /regulations/Guidelines/Approvals.
• Coordinate with various vendors & Engineering consultant for timely submission and review / approval of drawings/Documents.
• Participate in project review meetings with Package vendor & engineering consultant for smooth site engineering completion, progress monitoring & work execution.
• Tracking the project progress report and highlight /escalate the issues / concerns to avoid delay of project.
• Contract management-Vendor & client scope understanding and field execution as per the IBR/ latest applicable standards and scope.
• Coordination with vendors for timely delivery / quality inspection of materials.
• Inter department coordination to expedite site engineering, material delivery, project execution activities.
• Assist for the resolution of technical issues encountered during the engineering/erection/commissioning process at the site, ensure that the overall project is on track.
• Contractor management during project in all aspects manpower, material, safety, tools, regulatory compliance etc.
• Resource and execution planning, project status monitoring, regular reporting, mitigating delay if any and preparing back up plan during project execution.
• Joint site survey for civil work inspection & handover of civil foundations to contractor.
• Execution of erection work with quality by implementing best industrial practices.
• Coordination with site quality team for timely work quality inspection.
• Process of vendor RA bills, monthly material reconciliation & to face bill audit.
• Installation, testing, commissioning, PG test as per latest PTC codes & handover of Boiler pressure package.
• Exposure to various boiler auxiliaries like FGD / SCR / Mill Reject Handling / FO System, Coal Bunker, Fire protection, Compressed air system will be added advantage.
• Coordination with vendor for as-built drawing submission & approval by consultant.
• Document update, record keeping, project punch point closure and handing over systems/documents to respective department.
