Executive - Transmission Lines

This role would be on a Fixed Term Contract of 2 years.

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for transmission line erection and commissioning work.
• Execution of statutory norms, Guidelines & Liaisoning with Govt./Local Authorities
• Site supervision of Transmission Lines project execution
• Carry out work as per OCP
• Usage of SAP functionalities
• Execute all aspects of transmission line projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and procurement.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of projects while maintaining quality standards and safety protocols.
• Permitting and Regulatory Compliance: Liaise with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and local communities to obtain necessary permits, approvals, and clearances for transmission line projects.
• Ensure compliance with local, regional, and national regulations related to transmission line construction and operation.
• Construction and Installation: Oversee the construction and installation of transmission lines, including tower and foundation construction, conductor stringing, insulator installation, and substation connectivity.
• Coordinate with construction teams, suppliers, and contractors to ensure adherence to project specifications and safety protocols.
• Safety and Risk Management: Promote and enforce safety protocols and best practices to reduce the risk of accidents or incidents during construction, maintenance, and operation of transmission lines.
• Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations to identify and address potential hazards.
• Maintenance and Inspection: Implement maintenance plans for transmission lines to ensure their continued reliability and performance.
• Regularly inspect lines, towers, conductors, and insulators to identify and address any issues, such as deterioration, damage, or vegetation encroachment. Coordinate repairs and replacements as required.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E/B.Tech in Electrical with minimum 4 years of experience transmission lines project - planning, commissioning, erection, foundation, testing etc. in 220Kv to 400Kv
• Knowledge of statutory norms
• Fluency in Kannada language
