Lab Assistant

Tolia Industries is a recognized leader in the metal/steel manufacturing industry. We are looking for a dedicated Lab Assistant to join our team and support various laboratory operations to ensure the highest standards of quality and testing. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform chemical testing and PMI (Positive Material Identification) testing.
• Prepare samples for metallurgical study, including mounting, polishing, and etching.
• Conduct hardness testing (HRB, HRC) to determine the material properties.
• Carry out corrosion testing, including salt spray testing.
• Manage the preservation, retention, and disposal of tested samples in accordance with lab protocols and standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Educational Qualification:
  
• SSC (Secondary School Certificate)
• Skills Required:
  
1. Knowledge of mount preparation for metallurgical testing.
2. Proficiency in PMI testing and other standard lab testing methods.
3. Understanding of manufacturing processes and how they relate to material properties.
4. Familiarity with Quality & Environmental System standards.
5. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
6. Knowledge about laboratory reagents, equipment, and testing facilities.
• Industry Experience: Metal/Steel industry experience preferred.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a laboratory or similar role.
• Maximum of 7 years of experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
