General Manager - Accounts & Finance

Qualification

• PG degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Chartered Accountant degree is a must or Post-Graduation in Finance and Accounts with
• Additional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, ICMA, CS) are advantageous.
• knowledge of LLP and Pvt Ltd firm regulations, domestic and international financial practices.
• Strong understanding of working capital management, banking, and fund management. Proficiency in ERP/SAP systems is mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional roles.

Job Responsibilities

• Implements financial and accounting best practices and oversees critical accounting procedures to ensure legal compliance with financial reporting and banking regulations
• Leads planning and forecasting activities with business partners to achieve investment and accounting goals.
• Trains, supervises, coaches, assesses, and provides performance feedback to finance team members.
• Maintains and revises accounting systems as needed.
• Reviews financial reports and advises corrective action accordingly.
• Collects and analyses data to prepare financial forecasts and suggest strategies to address challenges and leverage strengths.
• Analyses revenue, expenses, cash flows, and balance sheets to optimize profitability and transparency.
• Assists and supports upper-level management to ensure sound financial decision-making that is in the long-term best interest of the organizational mission.
• Reviews and processes payments made to clients, vendors, and other business partners.
• Looks for ways to cut costs without impairing the long-term financial health of the organization.
• Studies market trends and section-specific data to maximize profits and growth.
• Maintains an accurate filing and record-keeping system for all financial statements and company documents.
• Executes revisions and updates to procedures, policies, and systems to facilitate the expansion and scaling of the business and increase transparency and compliance.
• Engages in sector-specific professional development opportunities to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the financial operations of the business and encourages and enables direct reports and other staff to do the same.
