Education Counsellor

An education counselor is a professional who helps students make academic and career decisions. They work with students at all levels, from elementary school to university.

• Assess students: Evaluate students' interests, strengths, weaknesses, and aspirations
• Develop plans: Create personalized plans to help students achieve their goals
• Provide guidance: Help students choose courses, majors, and programs
• Collaborate with others: Work with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop plans
• Provide resources: Inform students and their families about resources that can help them achieve their goals
• Maintain records: Keep confidential records about students, including assessment results, transcripts, and session notes
