Draughtsman

Role & responsibilities

Drafting and Detailing:

• Prepare detailed fabrication and engineering drawings for pressure vessels, ducting, structural components, piping, and supports.
• Develop Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), and hook-up diagrams.
• Create civil foundation drawings and ensure compatibility with project requirements.

3D Modeling:

• Utilize SolidWorks for 3D modeling and AutoCAD for drafting and detailing.
• Ensure accuracy and clarity in 3D and 2D representations.

Code and Standard Compliance:

• Adhere to ASME codes and standards, including welding figures for pressure vessels.
• Incorporate industry best practices in drafting and detailing.

ERP Knowledge:

• Work with ERP systems to manage and update design-related data effectively.

Material and Equipment Expertise:

• Apply knowledge of refractory materials, heat exchangers, tanks, and related equipment in drafting and detailing.

Collaboration and Support:

• Coordinate with the engineering and design teams to ensure drawings meet technical and functional requirements.
• Review and update drawings as per project feedback and design modifications.

Preferred candidate profile

• Proven experience in drafting and 3D modeling with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of drafting for pressure vessels, piping systems, and structural components.
• Familiarity with ASME codes and welding standards.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems for design-related tasks.
• Knowledge of refractory materials, heat exchangers, and tanks is highly desirable.
• Attention to detail and excellent technical documentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
