Job Title: Sales Manager - EdTech
Job Summary:
- We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth for our innovative EdTech products/services.
- The ideal candidate will be a proven sales leader with a passion for education and technology, and a track record of exceeding targets.
- This role will involve developing and executing sales strategies, managing a team of sales representatives, and building strong relationships with key clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across various channels (online marketing, partnerships, events, direct sales).
- Team Leadership & Management: Recruit, train, coach, and mentor a high-performing sales team.
- Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Manage the sales pipeline, from lead generation to closing deals.
- Track sales activity, monitor progress against targets, and identify areas for improvement.
- Use CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot) to manage leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.
- Key Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including educational institutions, corporations, and government agencies.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Use this information to refine sales strategies and identify new opportunities.
- Sales Reporting & Analytics: Track and analyze key sales metrics.
- Prepare regular sales reports and provide insights to senior management.
- Use data to identify trends and make informed decisions.
- Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate effectively with other departments, including marketing, product development, and customer success.
- Communicate regularly with the sales team and senior management.
- Sales Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve sales processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identify and implement best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Sales Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a sales team.
- Sales Experience: Demonstrated experience in sales, preferably in the EdTech or related industry.
- Communication & Presentation Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Negotiation & Closing Skills: Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to structure deals that are beneficial to both the customer and the company.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve sales challenges.
- CRM Proficiency: Experience using CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Passion for Education: A genuine interest in education and a desire to make a positive impact.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience selling online learning platforms or educational software.
- Knowledge of the K-12 or higher education market.
- Experience with B2B sales in the education sector.
