The role of a Marketing Head in a HR Tech SaaS (Software as a Service) company is crucial for driving the company's growth through strategic marketing initiatives, ensuring strong brand visibility, customer acquisition, and retention.

Here's an overview of the key responsibilities, skills, and competencies typically associated with the role:

Key Responsibilities:

Developing Marketing Strategies:

- Crafting long-term and short-term marketing strategies that align with the company's business goals.

- Understanding the HR Tech SaaS (Software as a Service) landscape and developing strategies to target key decision-makers like HR professionals, talent acquisition teams, and executives in businesses.

Brand Management:

- Overseeing the brand positioning and messaging to ensure consistency across all marketing channels (websites, content, social media, ads).

- Developing and implementing strategies to enhance brand recognition and thought leadership in the HR tech space.

Demand Generation and Lead Generation:

- Managing campaigns across multiple channels (email, SEO, PPC, content marketing, social media, webinars, etc.) to generate inbound leads.

- Nurturing leads through targeted content and educational resources about HR Tech SaaS offerings.

- Creating customer personas and segmenting target markets to tailor marketing campaigns effectively.

Market Research and Competitive Analysis:

- Conducting in-depth research to understand market trends, customer needs, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes in HR tech.

- Using data to identify opportunities for innovation, pricing, and positioning.

Sales Enablement:

- Collaborating closely with the sales team to develop tools, messaging, and collateral that help in converting leads into customers.

- Ensuring alignment between sales and marketing teams to optimize conversion rates.

Customer Retention and Engagement:

- Leading initiatives for customer retention through targeted communication, product updates, and value-based content.

- Measuring customer satisfaction and ensuring continuous engagement post-sale.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

- Leading and mentoring the marketing team, ensuring they have the necessary resources, support, and guidance.

- Collaborating with other departments such as product, customer success, and operations to align marketing efforts.

Key Skills & Competencies:

HR Tech Knowledge:

- Strong understanding of HR processes, technologies, and trends such as recruitment automation, talent management, performance reviews, learning & development, and employee engagement.

- Familiarity with HR Tech SaaS (Software as a Service) business models and subscription-based pricing structures.

Strategic Thinking:

- Ability to formulate and execute high-level marketing strategies that support company growth goals.

- Innovation in designing campaigns that differentiate the brand from competitors.

Digital Marketing Expertise:

- Deep expertise in digital marketing channels: SEO, SEM, content marketing, social media, email marketing, and paid advertising.

- Understanding of tools like HubSpot, Google Analytics, Salesforce, and Marketo.

Data Analysis & Insights:

- Comfort with analyzing data from CRM systems, analytics platforms, and campaign management tools.

- Experience with customer segmentation, funnel tracking, and understanding of KPIs.

Leadership & Communication:

- Proven leadership abilities, with experience in managing and developing teams.

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal and external messaging.

Education and Experience:

- A degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).

- Proven experience in a senior marketing role, especially in the HR Tech, SaaS, or B2B industries.

- Demonstrable experience in managing large-scale marketing campaigns, driving brand growth, and achieving sales targets.

- Experience in AI driven HR Tech SAAS platform.

- Should have experience in generating revenue of USD 10M to 100M.

- Should have experience in India and the US geography.

- Good network with influencers.

- Good to have speaking experience.

- Experience in raising funds within the VC communities across the globe in HR tech.

- Should have good network with CHROs in the fortune companies.
