Position Summary:
As the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), you will join the founding team to shape and lead the compliance strategy for TEMS Tech Solutions. This role is essential in establishing and implementing compliance policies, monitoring regulatory requirements, and guiding ethical standards across the company. As a co-founder, the CCO will have the opportunity to invest in the company and earn equity based on contributions and commitment.
Responsibilities:
- Compliance Framework Development : Establish and lead the development of a comprehensive compliance framework across all areas of the business, ensuring adherence to industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Regulatory Monitoring : Stay updated on regulatory changes and emerging compliance risks, and implement proactive measures to align with relevant legal and regulatory standards.
- Internal Policy Creation : Design, implement, and maintain internal compliance policies, procedures, and controls to support ethical conduct and regulatory compliance.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation : Conduct regular risk assessments, identify potential compliance risks, and create mitigation strategies to minimize legal and regulatory risks.
- Training and Awareness : Develop and lead training programs to raise awareness of compliance issues among employees and ensure adherence to company policies and ethical standards.
- Audit and Reporting : Oversee internal and external audits related to compliance, track compliance metrics, and report findings and improvements to the leadership team.
- Data Privacy and Security : Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to ensure the company s data handling practices comply with applicable privacy laws and industry standards.
- Fundraising and Partnerships : Support the executive team with compliance matters related to fundraising, investor relations, partnerships, and strategic business ventures.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; Master s or JD degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of compliance experience, preferably in technology, SaaS, or consulting industries
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, risk management, data privacy laws, and industry-specific compliance standards.
- Experience in startups or high-growth environments is preferred, with a proven ability to develop compliance policies from the ground up
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
- Exceptional organisational, communication, and leadership skills, with an entrepreneurial and strategic mindset.

Note : This is an equity-based role without a fixed salary until the company secures funding. This role offers substantial growth potential for a compliance leader who is committed to long-term success
