Sourcing Genrealist

Role & responsibilities:

1. End-to-End Sourcing Process Management:
   
• Analyze export data, utilize Google, and access supplier databases to gather relevant market intelligence
  
• Identify potential suppliers for the required chemical products
  
• Initiate procurement enquiries, specifying product requirements
  
• Collaborate with suppliers to obtain product specifications and price quotations
  
• Conduct benchmarking activities, comparing supplier quotes with global market prices
  
2. 2. Initial Negotiation:
   
• Engage in preliminary negotiations with potential suppliers to establish favorable terms and conditions
  
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and other contractual terms to ensure competitive advantage
  
3. 3. Document Review:
   
• Thoroughly review and analyze all procurement-related documents
  
• Ensure that supplier documents align with our company's requirements and standards
  
• Verify the accuracy of supplier-provided information
  
4. 4. Build a supply catalog:
   
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain a comprehensive supply catalog
  
• Continuously update the catalog with new suppliers, products, and pricing information
  
5. Supplier Evaluation:
   
• Plan and execute visits to supplier factories and facilities
  
• Evaluate the capabilities, quality control processes, and adherence to safety standards of
  potential and existing suppliers
  
• Provide feedback and recommendations for supplier improvement as necessary
  

Preferred candidate profile:

1. Possess 2-4 years of hands-on experience in chemical sourcing within the context of a trading company
   
2. Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of chemical products and supplier networks both in India and
   globally
   
3. Exhibit a track record of outstanding academic achievements and a strong commitment to previous roles
   
4. Show a high degree of motivation that is fueled by a burning desire for lifelong learning and career
