Knowledge and skill set:
- Impact and Regulations: In-depth knowledge of impact frameworks and standards including IFC AIMM, GIIN IRIS+, OPIM, SASB, SFDR
- MDB Project Experience: Experience working on projects funded by MDBs and DFIs, such as IFC, ADB, AIIB, NDB, BII, SIFEM.
- Communication and Reporting: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including report writing, MIS preparation, and presentation capabilities.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel.
- Soft Skills: Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to present
Responsibilities (Regular activities which are to be performed):
Strategy:
- Driving and maintaining strong regional and global relationships and partnerships with investors and other key stakeholders on Impact matters.
- Maintain awareness of global development impact trends and tools, metrics, and KPIs, and share updates and implications with the broader team.
Operations:
- Be a subject matter expert and lead implementation of Impact management systems, including but not limited to, working with the investment team to assess Impact of portfolio companies.
- Assess impact parameters across the deal lifecycle including screening and due diligence of new investments ensuring requirements being stated in definitive documentation and monitor on-going impact management efforts of portfolio companies.
- Work with the investment team to suggest Impact related action plans/roadmap for the investments and assess the impact on business operations.
Reporting:
- Monitor activities and ensure compliance with Impact Framework, Management Plans, and Procedures; and prepare quarterly and annual reports on portfolio impact metrics for the company's board and LPs.
Coordination and Accountability:
- Coordinate and monitor third-party agency activities to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Document meeting minutes and track action items to uphold timely E&S commitments Accountability (Answerability)
- Impact Framework Implementation: Ensure the integrity and implementation of Somerset's Impact Framework, as approved by the board.
- Investor Alignment: Address and fulfill investor requirements and comments on impact related matters.
- Timely Delivery: Complete impact related activities within agreed timelines, including gap analysis and closure planning.
