Role & responsibilities
1. Complete Design & development of IC engine-based powertrain system and components including magneto, CDI, HT coil, regulator, spark plug, Batteries, & motors (Starter/ Electrical) for all models of Motorcycle & Scooters.
2. Exposure to Electric powertrain components such as Motor, HV battery, DC-DC converter and battery charger.
3. Sound knowledge of electronics and electrical concepts, circuit diagrams, wiring harness, component integration and should have hands on experience in troubleshooting. Should have exposure to diagnostic tools, CAN communication tools etc.
4. Creation of Design Validation Plan, Seeking & Achieving buy-in of the Project leaders on the same and Ensure strict adherence to the DVP as per the plan.
5.Technology Development and Monitoring the de-risking plans for all the new developments and Evaluation of VA / VE proposals for the above-mentioned system and benchmarking it against competitors and continuously review design targets.
6. Work in a team and contribute to the continuous improvement activities through participation in Lean projects, technical knowledge capture, process improvements, etc.
7. Should have sound knowledge of design processes such as DFMA, DVP, SOR, Problem solving tools, vehicle and component homologation/regulations for 2 wheelers.
8. Should be able to support vehicle build in R&D and plant. Field visits for warranty issue analysis
9. Planning workflow & schedules for ensuring timely delivery; identifying delays and adjusting schedules to meet deadlines for engineers.
10. Scheduling for day-to-day deliveries relating activities and allocating work for proper & effective functioning of the operations within customer specified quality.
