Job Description:

We are seeking an expert OT Network Engineer to lead the technical transition and operational support for a critical infrastructure environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with industrial Ethernet switches, particularly Phoenix Contact OT switches, and be proficient in network transition planning, implementation, and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Transition (First 2 Months):

• Lead the technical transition of industrial network infrastructure, ensuring a smooth and efficient handover.
• Configure, deploy, and optimize Phoenix Contact OT switches, including:
• FL NAT 2304-2GC-2SFP
• FL SWITCH 2216 / 2216 PN
• FL SWITCH 2306-2SFP / 2312-2GC-2SFP
• FL SWITCH EP7428R-L3F1
• FL SWITCH GHS 12G/8-L3
• FL2216 PN
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to define best practices and security measures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity, performance, and security issues related to the transition.

Operational Support & Team Training (Next 6 Months):

• Provide ongoing network support and troubleshooting post-transition.
• Train and mentor the client's internal team on switch configuration, network maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Document network configurations, best practices, and operational procedures for long-term sustainability.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, cybersecurity protocols, and network optimization strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in OT networking, industrial Ethernet, and switch configuration.
• Hands-on expertise in Phoenix Contact OT switches or similar industrial network hardware.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, VLANs, NAT, L3 routing, redundancy, and security best practices.
• Experience in network transition projects, migration planning, and post-deployment support.
• Proficiency in industrial automation, SCADA, and OT security frameworks.
• Strong communication and training skills to support knowledge transfer.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in networking (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, or industrial networking certifications).
• Experience with ICS/SCADA security and compliance.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
