What are the Key Deliverables in this role ?
Financial Outcome
- Ensure Logistics cost Adherence to Approved Budget of Primary Freight.
- Analyzing the freight cost and suggest improvements /best practices to achieve cost optimization.
Customer Service
- Supporting production plants/S&OP with timely placement of trucks for moving material as per plan.
- Status tracking of Vehicles & Courier Movements
- Daily MIS for SIT
Internal Processes
- Ensuring Timely placement of Vehicles as per S&OP Plan.
- Follow-up coordination with Transporters for placement.
- Monitoring & Tracking of Vehicles post dispatch & ensure timely delivery at destination.
- Load-ability Monitoring
- Managing the TMS (Transport Management System) process for all primary movements and ensuring full compliance
- Tracking placement efficiency and transporter performance metrics
- GPS/SIM Tracking Adherence in all routes for Foods Category.
- SIT Adherence monitoring as per agreed TAT
- Rake Surveyor timely monitoring, documentation in time, submit for Bill processing.
- Keeping Track & record of all Service level Agreements for secondary/primary contracts.
- For Ad-hoc movements preparing RFQ, negotiating, drafting and implementing contracts.
- Safety Compliance as per standards
Innovation & Learning
- Contribute towards, budgeting, Spend analysis and best practices implementation.
What are the Critical success factors for the Position?
- Qualification: Graduate/ BTech/MBA
- Experience: 6-8 years experience in Primary logistics, Vehicle placement, Transporter management, TMS.
What are the Desirable success factors for the Position?
- Knowledge of Supply chain planning process & practices
- High proficiency in data handling, MS-Excel & SAP
- Prior experience of working on TMS
- Knowledge of Distribution Requirements Planning, Carrier Freight Forwarded Selection, Logistics
- Provider Contract Planning and Management, Investigation & Root Cause Analysis.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and solutioning mindset
