Director of Facilities
What does a Director of Facilities (Property Management) really doThink of yourself as
someone who will have full accountability and oversight on the safety and maintenance
of designated company sites - ensuring that these properties are in compliance with all
applicable regulations including PEZA, DOLE, DENR, SOC2, PCI and LGU permits. Your
goal is to ensure the efficient operation of all facilities within these sites; mitigating risks & ensuring
business continuity in the event of unforeseen natural disasters; and maintaining our facilities to
meet the needs of our employees. So, not just anyone is qualified for this role. We want to ensure
we get the best of the best - after all, we re a ridiculously good company where our employees are
considered top-notch at what they do! So, we need your full concentration because it s time to
imagine what it s like being a Director of Facilities.
Imagine yourself going to work with one thing on your mind: You will handle a team of Facilities
Managers across multiple sites in scheduling regular building maintenance and janitorial
services; oversight of security, fire prevention, and other safety systems; drafting and
updating emergency plans and evacuation procedures; contracting vendors and
professionals for repairs, as needed; ensuring that our employees are provided with proper
utilities while resolving complaints, problems, and requests. Critical to your day-to-day tasks is
monitoring building maintenance budgets; overseeing contractors and inspecting their completed
jobs; supervising resources and staff including Housekeeping, Security and Food Services; hiring
employees or engaging contractors to maintain, repair, or improve the site.
You will be expected to provide training for building employees; and evaluating their
performance while providing direction and guidance - to ensure proper maintenance of
the site.
As Director of Facilities, you will:
- Be entrusted with physical scouting of other potential sites assigned within your region.
- You will finalize the contracting, as well as the design, from initialization to operational
status.
- You will be accountable for the following: building financials and budget management;
vendor accreditation and selection; and compliance management for building and
procurement requirements.
- You will also be expected to assist with emergency response and evacuations; and inspect
the building consistently for any signs of damage or wear and tear.
So, do you have what it takes to become a Director of Facilities
Requirements:
- At least 5 - 8 years experience in Property or Facilities Management and experience in a
leadership role.
- Critical thinker with problem solving and detail-oriented skills
- Extensive experience in building codes and safety regulations; someone with strong
fundamental understanding of the requirements to build high-density workspaces -
preferably well-versed in compliance with PEZA, DOLE, DENR, SOC2, PCI and LGU (i.e.
business permits).
- Strong analytical skills to decipher and analyze large amounts of demographic information
and/or data; capable of building a strong network of connections with different LGU s
(within Metro Manila or provincial towns), real estate brokers, and/or construction
contractors across the Philippines.
- Results-driven; have previous customer service experience; and strong written and oral
communication skills would be a definite advantage!
- This role will require 25%-50% travel locally and/or international.
