Job Description: Admissions Counselor (MBA and Undergraduate Studies)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Admissions Counselor specializing in MBA and undergraduate admissions, with a preference for candidates who have worked with reputed study abroad consulting firms such as SI-UK, IDP Overseas, Chopra's, College Core, or other premium firms. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of guiding students through the admissions process for prestigious universities worldwide. The role requires exceptional communication skills, in-depth knowledge of the study abroad process, and a client-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Admissions Counseling:
- Guide students and families through the MBA and undergraduate admissions process, including university shortlisting, application preparation, and submission.
- Provide insights on application essays, resumes, recommendation letters, and interview preparation.
Client Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with students and parents.
- Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions to understand student aspirations, strengths, and academic backgrounds.
Study Abroad Expertise:
- Stay updated with global education trends, university requirements, and admission policies.
- Offer tailored advice for applications to the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, and other major study destinations.
Workshops and Seminars:
- Organize and deliver workshops on admissions topics such as essay writing, interview preparation, and test strategies (GMAT, GRE, SAT, IELTS, etc.).
- Represent the company at educational fairs and seminars.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Assist students with application documentation and ensure accuracy and timely submissions.
- Maintain detailed records of counseling sessions and progress reports.
Requirements:
- Experience: 4-5 years of experience in admissions counseling or study abroad consultancy.
- Education: Bachelor's degree (minimum); advanced qualifications in education, counseling, or related fields preferred.
Skills:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems.
Knowledge:
- Familiarity with MBA and undergraduate admissions processes for top-tier universities globally.
- Understanding of standardized tests (GMAT, GRE, SAT, IELTS, TOEFL).
- Location: Must be based in Delhi NCR and available to work from the office.
