Job Description:
- As the Legal Lead, you will oversee the organization's legal operations, ensuring alignment between legal strategy and business objectives.
- Your role will focus on safeguarding the organization's interests, driving compliance, mitigating risks, and providing strategic legal guidance to support long-term growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the organization's legal strategy in alignment with business goals, ensuring risk mitigation and compliance with evolving laws and regulations.
- Lead the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of critical agreements, including franchise and service contracts, leave and license agreements, and legal notices.
- Strategically manage litigation matters, collaborate with external counsel, and implement measures to minimize legal exposure.
- Ensure robust regulatory compliance by managing licenses, statutory documentation, and other legal obligations.
- Identify and address legal risks, establishing policies and frameworks to safeguard organizational interests.
- Provide strategic legal advice to senior leadership, enabling informed decision-making and mitigating potential legal challenges.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organization, ensuring alignment on legal priorities and clear communication.
- Foster collaboration with internal teams to ensure efficient contract execution, regulatory adherence, and risk management.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Educational Background: Holds a LLB; advanced certifications in corporate law or compliance are an advantage.
- Experience: Possesses 12+ years of experience in legal leadership, with demonstrated expertise in contracts, compliance, and litigation management.
- Skillset: Deep understanding of service contracts, regulatory frameworks, and risk mitigation. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead legal teams, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and navigate complex legal challenges in a dynamic environment.
- Adaptability: Excels in managing competing priorities and thrives in fast-paced, evolving business settings.
- Stakeholder Management: Demonstrates strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to engage and influence stakeholders across various levels of the organization.
