Practice Head - Mainframe Platform (17-19 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and execute comprehensive mainframe modernization strategies aligned with business objectives and technological advancements.

- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of mainframe and cloud engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

- Design and implement robust modernization roadmaps, leveraging cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and modern technology stacks.

- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies, including AI (Gen AI - OpenAI, Gemini AI, Watson Z, Amazon Bedrock), to enhance modernization capabilities.

- Collaborate with clients, industry partners, and internal teams to define requirements, develop solutions, and ensure successful project delivery.

- Provide deep technical expertise in mainframe technologies (COBOL, CICS, DB2, IMS, VSAM, JCL) and their integration with cloud environments.

- Drive cost-effective modernization solutions, optimizing resource utilization and maximizing ROI.

- Stay abreast of the latest trends in mainframe modernization, cloud computing, and AI, and apply them to enhance our solutions.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 17+ years of proven experience in mainframe development, architecture, and modernization.

- Deep expertise in core mainframe technologies: COBOL, CICS, DB2, IMS, VSAM, JCL.

- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).

- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical teams.

- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

- Proven track record of delivering successful modernization projects.

Nice to Have :

- Experience with Generative AI technologies (OpenAI, Gemini AI, Watson Z, Amazon Bedrock).

- Experience with containerization and microservices architecture.

- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
