About the Role :
We are looking for a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team and drive data-driven decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling, with a strong focus on time series forecasting, demand prediction, and supply chain optimization.
You will collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to develop, implement, and optimize data science solutions that impact business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Understand domain context and conduct exploratory data analysis to determine the best data science approach for customer requirements.
- Identify how the data science approach can be executed via the product pipeline, along with any customer-specific configurations.
- Train machine learning and deep learning models on large-scale time series datasets.
- Utilize data wrangling and exploration techniques to extract meaningful insights.
- Perform descriptive analysis and build visualizations to help customers understand business drivers.
- Identify key levers to improve essential metrics and provide actionable recommendations.
- Conduct accuracy analysis to identify performance improvement opportunities across different data segments.
- Develop end-to-end automated pipelines for use cases like inventory management, price recommendations, and demand forecasting.
- Research and prototype innovative solutions, conduct solution scoping, and provide consultation on advanced statistical and machine learning problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product development) to deploy models and monitor their performance.
Required Qualifications & Experience :
- 6+ years of experience in data science, applied science, machine learning, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a similar domain.
- Experience with demand forecasting, supply chain optimization, time series analysis, and statistical modeling.
- Proficiency in the end-to-end data science pipeline, including problem scoping, data gathering, EDA, modeling, insights generation, visualization, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in data structures and machine learning algorithms.
- Expertise in exploratory data analysis, visualization, ETL, hypothesis testing, and automation.
- Hands-on experience with Python (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Matplotlib), SQL, and Excel.
Nice-to-Have Skills :
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Knowledge of A/B testing and causal inference techniques.
- Exposure to optimization algorithms and reinforcement learning.
- Experience working with large-scale datasets and distributed computing frameworks (Spark, Dask, etc.)
