Job Description
System Maintenance:
Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of servers, workstations, and related hardware/software.
Ensure systems are secure, optimized, and running efficiently.
User Account Management:
Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights within Active Directory or similar systems.
Ensure users have the appropriate access levels while maintaining security standards.
Monitor System Health:
Conduct regular performance checks and monitor system logs to identify potential issues.
Report any system irregularities to senior team members for further assessment
Software & Patch Management:
Apply system patches, updates, and upgrades as required, under the guidance of senior administrators.
Assist in scheduling maintenance to minimize disruptions.
Troubleshooting:
Provide first line support for server and network issues.
Escalate complex problems to senior IT staff, documenting all troubleshooting steps taken.
Backups & Recovery:
Support routine data backup processes and assist with recovery procedures as needed.
Help to ensure that backup protocols are consistently followe'd and data integrity is maintained
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1 to 3 years of experience in system administration, technical support, or a similar IT role.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server, and network basics.
- Experience with system monitoring tools and remote management.
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles and firewall configurations.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like PowerShell or Bash is a plus.
- Experience in cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a bonus
