Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated System Administrator to join our IT team. The
ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable
operation of computer systems, servers, and networks. You will ensure the smooth,
efficient, and secure operation of IT infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime,
troubleshooting issues, and supporting the organization s technical needs.
Key Responsibilities
System Network Administration:
o Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
and server environments.
o Manage system backups, restore processes, and disaster recovery planning.
o Maintain and monitor local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN),
and other systems to ensure optimal performance.
o Administer firewall, VPN, and network security devices to safeguard
infrastructure.
Server Hardware Management:
o Perform regular system upgrades, patch management, and updates.
o Manage cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and on-premises
servers.
o Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
o Monitor server performance and implement necessary optimizations to
ensure high availability.
User Support Permissions:
o Provide technical support to users for hardware/software issues, ensuring
timely resolution.
Document Classification: Public
o Configure user accounts, email systems, and access permissions (Active
Directory, G Suite, etc.).
o Enforce and monitor security policies, ensuring users are following proper
protocols.
Security Compliance:
o Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and patching
activities.
o Implement security best practices to protect the company s data and
systems.
o Configure and maintain anti-virus, anti-malware, and firewall protection for
all systems.
o Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulatory
requirements.
Documentation Reporting:
o Document system configurations, network diagrams, and troubleshooting
steps.
o Maintain detailed logs of system activities, issues, and resolutions.
o Assist with preparing IT-related reports for management and stakeholders.
Collaboration Project Support:
o Work closely with IT project teams to deploy new systems or infrastructure.
o Assist in the planning and execution of system migrations, upgrades, and
new technology deployments.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of
technology solutions.
Qualifications Skills
Required:
Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux/Unix, and macOS administration.
Document Classification: Public
Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other network services.
Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
Knowledge of network security practices and tools (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery processes.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft
Certified: Windows Server Administrator, Linux Professional Institute
Certification (LPIC), or similar.
Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
Familiarity with ITIL processes.
Experience in a cloud-first or hybrid IT environment
