Zone Head - Finance - FMCG - CA (10-15 yrs)

The Zone Head - Finance will lead the financial operations of a business zone with gross revenues exceeding INR 3000+ Crores. This role is responsible for achieving the Zonal Operating Income Target while ensuring compliance with financial governance, asset controls, and market regulations. The incumbent will act as a strategic partner to business teams, driving financial planning, analytics, and commercial decisions to enhance revenue and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy and Planning:

- Lead and oversee the financial operations to achieve Zonal Operating Income Targets.

- Develop and manage financial strategies to support the zone's growth objectives.

- Analyze key financial metrics to provide actionable insights for revenue and profitability improvements.

Business Partnering and Analytics:

- Support and drive business decisions through financial planning, analytics, and scenario modeling.

- Provide commercial insights to influence decisions on pricing, revenue optimization, and P&L improvements.

- Identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost efficiency.

Governance and Compliance:

- Ensure adherence to company financial policies and processes, including market and asset controls.

- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain financial integrity.

- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Budget and Cost Management:

- Custodian of budgets for key spends, including discounts, marketing, and operational expenses.

- Monitor and control operating expenses to align with budgetary targets.

- Provide detailed variance analysis and corrective action recommendations.

Reporting and Performance Tracking:

- Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and business performance updates to senior management.

- Track key financial performance indicators and recommend corrective measures when required.

- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in line with corporate standards.

Key Qualifications & Requirements:

- Education: A Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.

- Experience: 10-14 years of experience in Commercial Finance, preferably with exposure to large-scale operations and zonal finance leadership roles.

- Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting skills.

- Proven track record in driving financial governance, compliance, and process improvements.

- Experience in partnering with business teams to influence decision-making and improve P&L outcomes.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
