Organizational Overview:

This role will be part of the Data Architecture & Analytics group part of CTO organization.

• Data team is responsible for designing and developing scalable data pipelines for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and loading(ETL).

• Data team owns and manages different tools platforms which provides an environment for designing and building different data solutions.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate new data sources and ensure data quality and consistency.

• Building and maintaining data models to facilitate data access and analysis by Data Scientists and Analysts

Role Summary/Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced Terraform engineer. The individual will be responsible for creating, managing, and deploying resources using Terraform in our AWS Environment ensuring security, and reliability. The ideal candidate should have experience with Terraform and AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure using Terraform.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and management processes.

• Ensure cloud environments are secure, scalable, and reliable.

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to support cloud initiatives.

• Monitor cloud infrastructure and perform necessary maintenance.

• Document infrastructure designs and processes.

• Implement best practices for cloud security and compliance.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

• Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of experience in cloud engineering or a similar role or in lieu of a degree 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering.

• Proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.

• Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services)

• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Desired Skills/Knowledge:

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices

• Certification in Terraform or AWS

Eligibility Criteria: Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of experience in cloud engineering or a similar role or in lieu of a degree 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering.

Work Timings: 2 PM to 11 PM IST

(This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time - 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
