Organizational Overview:

This role will be part of the Data Architecture & Analytics group part of CTO organization.

• The Data Visualization team specializes in empowering business decision-making by designing and delivering advanced data visualization solutions using cutting edge tools and cloud technologies.

• The team leverages modern cloud platforms to create scalable, interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights across various business functions.

• Through collaboration with cross-functional teams, the Data team ensures seamless deployment and optimization of visualization solutions in a cloud-first environment.

Role Summary/Purpose:

We are seeking a Tableau Developer to join the Tableau Center of Excellence (CoE) team as an individual contributor. This role will focus on designing and building dashboards and workbooks to support strategic programs and other critical business functions. This individual will work in close collaboration with business teams to deliver innovative and impactful analytical visualizations for Executive leaderships and Internal business users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, optimize, and rebuild interactive Tableau dashboards and workbooks to improve performance and usability.

• Collaborate with business user groups to gather requirements and translate them into efficient, innovative visualizations and reports.

• Work with SQL and data sources to prepare and transform data as needed.

• Support the creation and dissemination of Tableau development best practices and standards.

• Provide training and support to business users on Tableau features and functionality, as needed.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with minimum 2+ years of IT experience, or in lieu of a degree 4+ years of IT experience.

• Minimum 2 years of development/admin experience with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Online and Tableau Server in a business environment.

• Minimum 2 years of BI Reporting experience with various tools such as SAS VA, Business Objects and Excel

• Minimum 2 years of experience with Data Modelling concepts

• Minimum 2 years of experience with SQL, Hadoop

• Minimum 1 years of experience using Data Lake to build dashboards

• Minimum 1 Experience gathering, and translating end user requirements into end user reports

• Strong proficiency in developing interactive dashboards and workbooks using Tableau Desktop.

• In-depth understanding of SQL and experience working with data sources such as relational databases and file systems.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical solutions to both technical and non-technical teams.

• Experience in publishing Tableau workbooks to the server and managing user access permissions in line with organizational standards

• Proficiency in identifying and implementing Tableau development best practices to ensure scalability and efficiency.

Desired Skills/Knowledge:

• Good to have experience working in Financial Industry or Credit processing experience.

• Experience with working on a geographically distributed team managing onshore/offshore resources with shifting priorities.

• Tableau certification is plus. Good knowledge of Tableau server activities, including performance monitoring, managing server resources, and troubleshooting.

• Good to have knowledge of BO reports.

Eligibility Criteria:

Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with minimum 2+ years of IT experience, or in lieu of a degree 4+ years of IT experience.

Work Timings: 3 PM to 12 AM IST

( This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time - 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
