Role Summary :

Swiggy is seeking an experienced public policy professional to join our Corporate Affairs team as a General Manager - Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs. You would be expected to lead and manage relationships in the policy and regulatory ecosystem across multiple states. The role would require you to research and keep yourself updated regarding existing and upcoming regulatory policies in India that can have an impact on existing or prospective Swiggy businesses. 

You would work towards favorable policy evolution, and business expansion through outreach and effective communication of online delivery service providers and aggregator platforms position on all appropriate forums.

Responsibilities :

• Be thorough in mapping important stakeholders across polity, bureaucracy, print and digital media, and departmental level across all states
• Create opportunities for business expansion and high impact collaborations with state governments
• Monitor developments, and study existing policy framework concerning the online on-demand delivery and platform based aggregators in India
• Prepare representations and advocacy literature for policies pertaining to gig workers’ welfare and social security, transport aggregators, electrification methodologies, and other related matters  
• Acquire knowledge regarding international best practices in the online on-demand delivery and platform based gig economy ecosystem
• Be a domain expert and advocate for all the company’s policy related initiatives in the states
• Work effectively with colleagues from operations, finance, legal affairs, and business development to collaborate on projects as required
• Collect important data through primary interactions with stakeholders, and secondary research, and collate and present it effectively using the MS-Office suite - Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.
• Create effective presentations, reports, and representations to enable policy outreach and business friendly reforms
• Facilitate and lead positive and timely dialogue with key stakeholders including state governors, chief ministers, chief secretaries, additional chief secretaries, and departmental stakeholders

Required Qualifications :

• Experience in public policy, regulatory advocacy, or related work
• A bachelors degree in law, public policy, or business administration
• Thorough comprehension of political, legal, and administrative framework in India
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including preparation of high quality presentation decks.
